How to use social media to promote your business

Social media, love it or hate it. I quite enjoy scrolling through Facebook, I quite like looking at Instagram, I like Pinterest but is my business something that people really want to see on Pintrest? Accounting on the whole is pretty boring but what people  want to see is us.  They want to see our team and they want to get to know us. That’s where social media is great. Sure, you can sell products and services from it. But really using it to get people to know, like, and trust you is what social media is all about. It doesn’t need to be a glamorous photoshoot.

As you can see from most of our videos, I’m just standing against the wall in my office having a chat. It’s about having the guts to get out there and make yourself known. We’ve got a team of 19 people yet most of our socials is me. That’s because I’m the one that’s comfortable doing it. So, if you do want to involve your team, ask them first and make sure you always get permission before you do a video or, or anything like that. But the more that you can use it to get people to understand who you are, what your values are, then they can as I said before, they get to know you, they’re going to like you they’re going to trust you, and then they’re going to buy from you and that’s what we all want.

We want people who come in as warm leads, they know us they’ve heard about us from friends, they’ve looked us up on social media, they see that we’re helpful and friendly. When they come into the boardroom to have a chat, well, they’re raring to go, they’re ready to sign up. That’s what all of us want. Sure, you can use ads and social media for selling products and services. But really, it’s about being social, putting stuff up there, having a chat replying to people’s comments and getting known. That’s the best way to use social media for your business. And best of all, it’s free.
